چکیده
According to David Benatar’s anti-natalism, the extinction of all sentient life, including that humans, is morally desirable. That claim contested in this article. The author commences by showing parallels between position and existentialist Albert Camus. He points out that, also for Camus, "death better" meant a moral sense. This followed general exposition anti-natalism. Particular attention paid argument about “asymmetry pleasure painâ€: presence pain bad, whereas good. However, absence good, it cannot necessarily be argued bad; what can, at most claimed, not bad. develops three arguments against position. firstly (drawing on Dawkins) contests primordial instincts characterize phenomenon i.e. reproduction. Secondly, drawing Irenaeus Hick, argues idea painless existence untenable. Thirdly, as suggested article’s title, does make sense promote desirability non-existence human since such an presupposes, its very validity, due recognition or environment responsible interactions – which suggests should disappear completely universe he proposes.
